Kurrimine Beach has a seasonal stinger net near the boat ramp, approx. 300 m from the resort. The water here is shallow for a fair distance and it is great on low tide for exploring rockpools.
Please take advice from a local before swimming as we do have seasonal marine stingers and the odd snapping handbag in crocodile breeding season!
The town boasts a huge swimming pool with giant inflatables and water park. This is a 5-minute walk from the resort, possibly a bit longer with tired children! The cost of entry is $5 per person for the morning or afternoon sessions.
If you prefer clear mountain creeks for a refreshing dip there are lots of secret local waterhole within a 30 minute drive. Try swimming in the waterfall at Josephine Falls and slide down the natural slippery dip, ask a local for directions to Nyletta (our secret spot) or try out the Alligators Nest near Tully.
