Our Accessibility Initiatives

Since May 2022, when the current family owners took over, King Reef Resort has been actively working towards increased accessibility for all guests. Our efforts include:

• Improved Physical Access: We’ve installed a ramp between the caravan park and hotel, making navigation easier for guests with mobility challenges
• Accessible Amenities: A new wheelchair-accessible shower and toilet have been added for use from the pool/caravan park and the hotel/bistro.
• Enhanced Pathways: The driveway has been concreted, providing a smooth surface from parking to the motel units.
• Visual Assistance: Our check-in process uses an iPad with adjustable font to assist guests with visual impairments.
• Nighttime Safety: LED lights have been installed on utility pedestals in our sites to ensure better visibility at night

Ongoing Improvements

We are continuously working to enhance our accessibility features. Our upcoming projects include:

• Caravan Park Amenities Upgrade: Plans are in place to improve pathways, remove steps and lips, add rails, and install new fittings in the amenities block.
• New Pool Area: We’re designing a new pool area with a graded entrance and rails for assistance.
